My name is Nicquel Rhoden a.k.a Quail, and I am a self proclaimed online marketing addict and social media geek!
After high school my original plan was to take a year off and travel the world. However, after a little bribery from my step dad and my mum, I found myself at the University of Queensland (UQ) studying a bachelor of International Tourism Management.
Lost and confused, as most first year students are, I had absolutely know idea what I was actually going to use my degree for. One thing was certain, I was going to travel... one day!
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks... I could use my degree to travel the world... for free... GENIUS!
As it turns out, i'm not the only person to have stumbled upon this brilliant idea. I found myself competing against 300 people to win New Zealand's version of the "best job in the world". A 3 month all expenses paid trip around New Zealand.
Since winning NZ's dream job, traveling has taken a back seat to my career. For the past year I have been the Digital Marketing Assistant at Tourism Coromandel and in 3 weeks time I will begin work with Mercury Bay Seafaris (in the Coromandel) as their Marketing and Operations Manager.
However, the travel bug in me is begging to come out and play! So this leads me to my newest quest... the Monthly Catch Savvy Traveler position. 6 months of traveling the world and sharing my adventures with you through all things social.
How will I do this? By showing Monthly Catch exactly why I should be their savvy traveler!
